When: Saturday, October 28th, 12:00 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Where: Silver Lake Trailhead, Pinckney Recreation Area
What: The PSSWC is an unsupported group ride around the Potawatomi Trail. This is not a race.
Ride the Poto, backwards, at night on October 13th! The Batman Ride will be staging at the Silver Lake Parking lot. Arrive at 7:00pm and ride at 7:30pm. We will have a first group of faster riders doing the full loop, and a second group of “normal” riders doing part of the trail. After the ride, we will have a campfire and typically riders bring food to share. Come out and ride the Poto backwards with lights!
What you should bring:
1. light
2. back-up light
3. cell phone
4. trail map, tools, survival gear (just kidding – no man left behind!)
5. food/beverages/change of clothes for post ride
Join us at Brighton Recreation Area for a Poto Chapter meeting. Social ride 5:00 – 7:00pm. Casual chapter meeting from 7:00pm – 7:30pm followed by a pot luck (bring something to throw on the grill and something to share). Please contact info@3.23.157.82 with any questions.
Attention students! The Potawatomi Mountain Biking Association is launching a High School Group ride for 9-12th grade mountain bikers. Mountain Biking is a fun sport! You get to ride, race, get fit, explore nature, and have fun with your friends. Riders of ALL levels should come out. Bring your friends and parents to our first ride at Olson Park in Ann Arbor on September 23rd at 9:00am. Properly fitted helmet and bike in good working condition required. The Potawatomi Mountain Biking Association was recently selected for the DNR’s Partners in Conservation Award for their work on the planning and development of the DTE Energy Foundation Trail located at Waterloo Recreation Area. The Association was recommended for this award by former Waterloo park manager, Gary Jones, and the nomination received full support of Chief Ron Olson, which is a requirement of being considered for the award.
